Architect's Council
The Architect's Council was the governing body of master builders and runecrafters within ancient Giant society.
Role and Authority
The Council held supreme authority over monumental construction projects and runic engineering. It was responsible for debating and approving endeavors of civilization-scale importance, including the fate of The First World Sleeper.
Historical Decision
The Council's most historically significant act was the decision regarding the Sleeper. After discovery, the Council debated three paths: attempting to destroy the entity, constructing a containment vessel to imprison it, or leaving it undisturbed. The Council ultimately voted for containment, a project that consumed three centuries and was led by Council member Korathan.
Legacy
The Council sealed The Maker's Rest following Korathan's entombment. Their philosophy and the weight of their decision—prioritizing a multi-millennial containment solution—form a central thematic element depicted in the tomb's wall carvings and encoded within its final guardian.
