Corbin the Smelter is a male mountain dwarf artificer, a traveling tinkerer and mercenary who abandoned his mountain clan to pursue experimental metallurgy and magical artifice. He speaks in engineering metaphors—function, tolerance, load-bearing, calibration—and measures worth in utility and maintainability. To him, people are complicated, unreliable systems; gears are honest.
Personality
Corbin maintains an emotional distance from most, but he remains with his companions Karn the Unbroken and Rhen because the partnership functions well. He acknowledges the need for periodic maintenance in all relationships.
