Giant foundation level
The Giant foundation level is the deepest known excavated layer within Kazad-Khrom, representing the primary containment architecture built by the ancient Giants.
Description
This level consists of monumental corridors, chambers, and maintenance passages scaled for beings three times the size of humans. Its core feature is an intricate network of containment runes etched into the very bedrock, designed to imprison The First World Sleeper in the inner void below. The environment is unstable, with areas of warped reality and intense Dreamstone resonance.
Strategic Significance
The level is divided into an outer ring and the inner void approaches. The outer ring contains critical infrastructure, including the main Resonance Seam of Dreamstone and the sites where the Twisted grew their fleshy amplifiers. The entire level is the frontline in the conflict to maintain the Sleeper's prison, having been the site of major operations to sabotage the amplifier network and, subsequently, to counter the Twisted's direct excavation assault.
