The inner void is a vast, seemingly bottomless chasm located deep beneath the Giant foundation level of Kazad-Khrom.
Description and Significance
It is the epicenter of the psychic disturbance within the mountain and the physical location where The First World Sleeper is imprisoned. The void is the source of the corrupting broadcast that creates Dreamstone and the Twisted. The Giant containment runes form a luminous field around its periphery, holding the entity in check.
Strategic Importance
The inner void is the ultimate objective of the Twisted forces. All their actions—sabotaging pumps, building amplifiers, and their final excavation drill—are aimed at breaching the boundary between the foundation level and the void to reach the Sleeper directly. It represents the heart of the threat and the focal point of the containment effort.
