The Minecart Network is a sprawling dwarven rail system within the Dwarven Layer, connecting The Cold Forge to primary mining operations, a pump station, and a sealed quarantine branch.
Description
The network consists of iron rails laid into carved stone channels, spanning hundreds of feet through branching tunnels. It includes switch junctions, loading platforms, brake mechanisms, and maintenance bays. The system was designed for the efficient transport of materials and personnel throughout the Kazad-Khrom underground empire.
Current Status
Recently reactivated by the returning heat of the Cold Forge, the network's eastern transit hub was cleared of the behir Kellashen. Command authority over the network was secured via Foreman Kellak's signet ring. The network now provides access to deeper layers of the mountain, though the northern pump station remains flooded and the quarantine branch is sealed.
