The crystal is housed at the party's forward camp in the Giant foundation level. It emits a steady hum when conditions are stable and can project visual readings of containment field strength and resonance frequencies.
Function and Use
The crystal's primary function is to provide early warning of containment failures or spikes in void energy. It is calibrated to the specific harmonic of the mountain's containment systems and the Sleeper's broadcast. It famously screamed an alert—spiking to a frequency that shattered glass—to signal the catastrophic failure and new breach that led to the events in The Warden's Post.
