Resonance Seam
The Resonance Seam is a significant geological formation located within the Giant foundation level of Kazad-Khrom.
Description
It is a three-foot-wide vein of raw Dreamstone that runs through the bedrock and the ancient Giant architecture like frozen lightning. The seam glows with an inner light that shifts through the spectrum and has grown in a parasitic relationship with the containment runes, feeding on their energy.
Significance
Marked on the Giant Blueprint Tablet as a "Resonance Seam," it represents a location where the The Sleeper|Sleeper's radiation has crystallized the surrounding stone over millennia. It was the target of a harvesting expedition which discovered that the Dreamstone vein is integrated into the containment system; harvesting excess material through harmonic resonance actually improves the system's stability.
