Stone-Tenders
Stone-Tenders are elemental creatures of living rock that maintain underground structures within Kazad-Khrom.
Description
Approximately four feet tall, they possess slender fingers used to tap rhythmically against stone, listening to echoes to assess structural integrity. They are sensitive to vibrations and act with a communal intelligence.
Encounters
They were first encountered performing repairs in the Salt-Vaults of the Iron Warlords. Later, they were found in a natural cavern beneath the collapsing Military Empire layer, where they demonstrated a harmonic resonance pattern to open a sealed First World doorway. During the threat of the Sleeper, it was suggested they might be recruited to help contain the entity, leveraging their intrinsic connection to the mountain's stone.
