The Twisted are a faction of corrupted dwarves found within the deep mining tunnels and Pump Station East of Kazad-Khrom.
Description
These entities retain the stocky, broad-shouldered physique of dwarves but are visibly corrupted. Their skin has an iridescent sheen reminiscent of Dreamstone, with pulsating black veins visible beneath. Their eyes remain aware and intelligent. They possess retained engineering knowledge and move with coordinated, precise actions.
Behavior and Objectives
The Twisted are not mindless. They engage in organized sabotage of dwarven containment infrastructure, such as the pumps at Pump Station East. They communicate through gestures and appear to follow a chain of command, including Overseer|Overseers. Their primary observed objective is to maintain flooding in the lower depths, suggesting they act as corrupted guardians attempting to contain a threat within the mountain. They wield modified tools and weapons and can integrate biological materials with ancient dwarven technology.
