Battlecrypt
Overview
Battlecrypt is a district of Phoenix City, distinguished by its three-layered urban structure: the Surface, a public commercial and administrative quarter; the Undercity, a network of stone chambers housing the city's working class, originally carved during wartime; and the Night Market, a semi-legal trading nexus that flourishes in the subterranean darkness. Ancient records from the Age of Giants identify the site as Arena City.
Significance
Battlecrypt later serves as the initial base of operations for the mercenary company formed by Corbin the Smelter, Karn the Unbroken, and Rhen.
